Endoscopy-Guided Yamane Technique.
This video highlights the importance of precise trocar positioning in the Yamane technique to prevent intraocular lens (IOL) decentration and tilt. Proper alignment of the trocar in relation to the haptic trajectory is crucial for achieving stable and well-centered scleral fixation.
By utilizing endoscopic guidance, we gain real-time intraocular visualization, allowing for accurate trocar placement and optimal haptic positioning. This approach minimizes the risk of misalignment, ensuring a smooth haptic passage through the scleral tunnel and improving overall surgical outcomes.
Key advantages include enhanced precision, reduced complications, and improved IOL stability. This technique serves as a valuable refinement to the Yamane procedure, contributing to safer and more predictable surgeries.
Thank you so much.
