Nils Lachmann is currently heading the histocompatibility laboratory at Europe’s largest hospital Charité - Universitätsmedin Berlin, Germany. He received a doctoral degree in medical Bioengineering from the Technical University Berlin (Germany) and spent one year at the Terasaki Foundation Laboratory in Los Angeles (USA). Mr. Lachmann serves as commissioner at the German Transplant Society, German Society for Immunogenetics and Eurotransplant’s Tissue Typer Advisory Board. His research is focused on the clinical relevance of HLA antibodies and epitopes in solid organ transplantation.
